Install a ductless heat pump to heat or cool your home

By Kevin Morrison, Green Change

A ductless mini-split heat pump system is a great choice for anybody who wants to go as green as possible because it uses only electricity to heat or cool your home.

As you can see in this video, my heat pump is sitting under my bedroom window. It’s not noisy at all, unlike some air conditioning systems.

And it heats or cools my home on a room-by-room basis. If you’re in your bedroom and you want it hotter or cooler, you use the remote control, so you don’t have to heat or cool the whole house when all you really need is to heat or cool the room you’re in.

It’s that simple. I hope that a ductless mini-split heat pump system is in your future, because it’s the green solution that we all need to make our lives better.

Heat pump systems are very energy-efficient and can save you money: studies show $1-2K savings per year, with typical installation costs of $6-24K for small to moderate homes.
