Wash your laundry only when you have a full load

By washing full loads of laundry, you save water that you would have used for extra loads! Depending on what kind of washing machine you have, it can use from 15 to 50 gallons per load. 

Look for labels on your machine to see if it is High Efficiency (HE) certified and if it is Energy Star Certified. To learn more about water and energy-efficient washing machines go to the Home Water Works website
